It was an even competition in the ladies' pursuit start.

Julia Simon, who started 16th, made her way through full shooting to the top of the field and held on all the way to the finish line for her first win of the season.

Dorothea Wierer also shot 20 out of 20 hits and took second place.

Third place went to Elvira Öberg, after a strong sprint lap.

Lillasyster Öberg started as number twelfth in the chase, but immediately started picking up places.

After a miss in the second shoot, she dropped slightly, but in the other shoots she shot full and was therefore able to stay just behind the absolute top during a large part of the race.

In the sprint lap, she passed both Emma Lunder and Lisa Vittozzi to the first podium of the season.

She was the fastest of all in the race.

Persson fell into the groove

After Elvira Öberg, Hanna Öberg became the next Swede in the field, with a tenth place.

She missed two shots in the first shot but worked her way back and with 14 of 15 hits on the remaining three she was able to rise in the field.

Linn Persson went out as the best Swede, as third in the field, but already after the first shooting where she shot a beam, she dropped to tenth place.

After the second shot, the Swede fell out of the groove, which caused her to lose even more.

In the end, Persson took eleventh place.

For Stina Nilsson, who was second to last in the starting field, the race took a sad turn at the third shooting.

She had then fired fully in the first two, but had lost her remaining two magazines.

It cost about 30 seconds for the Swede, who shot a total of two misses.

Despite that, she made it to 35th place.
