Uruguay national team player Luis Suarez claimed that FIFA is "always against Uruguay", after his participation in the World Cup ended, and he was crying after the group stage exit in the World Cup in Qatar.

Suarez, the former Liverpool and Barcelona star, played in the match that Uruguay won 2-0 over Ghana on Friday, but the veteran striker left the stadium crying, as it was not the last tournament for the player who was known as the “biter” after the famous incident that brought him together with Italy player Chiellini in World Cup Brazil 2014.

Suarez was substituted before the end of the match and stood helpless when the referee denied Edinson Cavani, his Uruguay team mate, a penalty kick late in the match after he fell in the Ghana penalty area.

Suarez felt it was a reasonable claim, and also considered that Uruguay's national team was entitled to a penalty kick early in the second half after Darwin Nunez fell.

Although the referee, Daniel Seibert, assessed the Nowens incident on the screen on the side of the field, the referee decided not to award a penalty kick.

After Uruguay's exit from the tournament was confirmed, Suarez cried, as the South Korean national team advanced to the round of 16 after a 2-1 victory over Portugal.

And there is another goal, without which the Uruguay national team would have advanced to the round of 16 instead of the Korean national team.

Suarez explained to Portugal, the group leaders, who won a controversial penalty kick against Uruguay in the match that brought them together next Monday, and said that it was painful when qualifying was decided based on goal difference.

Regarding the two incidents in the Ghana match, Suarez said: "The penalty kick that Darwin deserved was very clear, and also there was violent interference with Edinson."

He called on FIFA to provide clarification on the rationale for penalty shoot-outs, and Suarez added: "These are not excuses, but unbelievable things happen at the World Cup."

He also claimed that he was prevented from going to his family after the final whistle against Ghana.

Suarez said: "After the match, I wanted to embrace my family, and the people from FIFA came to me and said no."

He added, "It seems that Uruguay does not have additional strength, FIFA is always against Uruguay."
