Örebro made a lightning start and had a 2-0 lead after just under three minutes of playing time.

The goals from Kristian Näkyvä and Linus Öberg came just 17 seconds apart and put the home team directly in the driver's seat.

Before the first period was over, Örebro could also increase to 3-0 through Oliver Eklind.

The same Eklind also made it 4-0 at the beginning of the second period, so there and then the match felt close to being decided.

But Malmö did not give up at first.

The first reduction came from William von Barnekow and 95 seconds later Lance Bouma found his way through for 4-2 and weathering for Malmö.

But just 31 seconds into the third period came the slap for Malmö when Örebro regained a three-goal lead thanks to Philip Holm's solo raid from their own zone.

Shortly afterwards, Malmö's Thomas Schemitsch also dealt a blow to the head of Örebro player Linus Öberg.

The right turn resulted in a match penalty and an early shower for the Canadian.
