With only a minute or so left, many in Karlstad probably had high hopes for a three-pointer and a step past Timrå in the table.

But the away team found their way through Färjestad and equalized with a minute left, after a back kick from Nick Halloran.

When then Färjestad's Joakim Nygård was sent off in extra time, Timrå had a golden opportunity to take the extra point.

But Färjestad's Matt Tomkins made a great save, Jonathan Dahlén hit the post and Robin Hanzl couldn't poke the puck into the open goal.

So instead it was a penalty shootout.

Once there, Tomkins continued with good goalkeeping and gave Victor Ejdsell the opportunity to decide, which he did by bouncing his penalty into the roof of the net.
