- We know that the Swedish people are very proud of their sports heroes and in this series you really get an understanding of how much sacrifices, tough decisions, selected home evenings and aching muscles it costs to be at the top.

The first season with the national cross-country team was a great success with the viewers, and of course we are very happy that the biathletes are now also prepared to let us into the innermost rooms, says Christina Hill, program director of SVT Gothenburg.

The first season of "Bäst när det gäster" was broadcast in autumn 2021. The series followed behind the scenes of the Swedish national cross-country team's WC season and was seen by upwards of a million viewers every week.

The new series about the Swedish biathletes will consist of five hour-long episodes.

"Fascinated by the wonderful personalities we have in the national team"

- Interest in biathlon is growing rapidly all over Sweden and many are fascinated by the wonderful personalities we have in the national team.

For us, it feels fantastic to be able to offer all our fans a deep insight behind the scenes and an opportunity to get to know our stars in a completely new way together with SVT, says Rikard Grip, secretary general of the Swedish Biathlon Union.

Filming of the series has been ongoing since June 2022 and will continue until the summer of 2023.

The premiere for "Best when it comes to biathlon" will be in the fall of 2023.
