The Junior WC 21/22 was postponed due to the corona pandemic from winter to summer 2022 and was decided in August.
Canada won the JVM gold 3-2, after an overtime drama against Finland.
Sweden took the bronze after 3-1 in the bronze match against the Czech Republic.
History and gossip about the Junior WC:
- The first official championship was played in 1977 in what was then Czechoslovakia.
- Canada is the most junior world champion with 19 golds.
- Sweden has won two JVM golds, in 1981 and 2012, and a total of 20 medals.
- JVM 2024 will be played in Gothenburg.
It will be the seventh time that Sweden has arranged.
