On Monday, Djurgården's coach Joakim Fagervall was fired.

On Tuesday, Djurgården won against Mora with 5-1 with the assistant coach stepping up.

Today Tre Kronor's former national team captain Johan Garpenlöv took over and he continued on the winning track.

Blomgren's first goal

At the end of the first period, Garpenlöv saw his first goal as a zoo trainer.

In the power play, Cameron Schilling shot a shot that ended up behind goalkeeper Tomas Rydén.

Lying down, David Blomgren could poke in his first goal in the Hockeyallsvenskan and make it 1-0 for Djurgården.

When Mika Ounasvuori tapped in 2-0 from a tight angle from close range at the start of the second period, victory seemed pretty clear for Djurgården.

A couple of minutes after that, Linus Klasen scored a penalty for Djurgården.

But at the end of the period, Simon Åkerström reduced the score to 2-1 and Calle Lindbom had to step up in the goal and save the three points for Djurgården.

"Good group to work with"

- It's a good group to work with.

Everyone comes to training with the desire to get better, it's a hard working group.

As with all teams, we have some work to do.

We have had two training sessions and the goal is to find my or our way of playing, but there is not much that differs from how it looked before, said Garpenlöv to C More before the match.

- It's a few other words and how you want to act in certain situations that we try to hone in on.

We must show heart and get better where after the season suffers, continued Garpenlöv.
