Luis Suárez, a veteran Uruguayan striker, burst into tears at the news of Korea's come-from-behind goal.

Uruguay was beating Ghana 2-0 until the second half of the 3rd Group H match of the 2022 Qatar World Cup held at the Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah, Qatar this morning.

Uruguay escaped the crisis in the 21st minute when Andre Ayule's penalty was blocked by the goalkeeper, and Giorgian Dearasqueeta scored consecutively in the 26th and 32nd minutes to move closer to the round of 16.

However, things changed drastically when Korea Republic beat Portugal 2-1 at the same time at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan.

In the 46th minute of the second half, Son Heung-min's dribble followed by an infiltration pass by Hwang Hee-chan scored, and Korea won 2-1.

South Korea and Uruguay recorded 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss, 4 points, but in the end we were ahead in the number of points.

As soon as Korea scored a come-from-behind goal, the game between Uruguay and Ghana was passing in the 40th minute of the second half.

Because of this, the Uruguay team, which was playing relatively relaxed, became in a hurry.

Uruguay gained extra time in the second half of the 8th minute and launched a wave of attacks, but were unable to add a goal and ended the game 2-0.

Suarez covered his face with a towel, but his eyes were wet with tears, and the Uruguayan players and fans also listened to the final whistle with a sad expression.

Korea qualified for second place in Group H and made it to the round of 16, but Uruguay exited the World Cup stage after this match.
