The Spanish newspaper "Marca" said that the veteran Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, is close to moving to the Saudi club Al-Nasr, for an astronomical fee, after the end of his experience with the English club Manchester United.

The newspaper pointed out that Ronaldo, 37, was close to reaching an agreement to join Al-Nasr for two and a half years, for a fee of 200 million euros annually.

The newspaper indicated that the amount includes the player's salary and bonuses, in addition to sponsorship and advertising contracts.

The captain of the Portuguese national team is currently in the ranks of "Seleção" Europe in the Qatar World Cup 2022, and he scored a goal in the first two matches, and his team qualified for the second round of the tournament, which may be the last in his international career.

Ronaldo is free from any obligation, and his contract with Manchester United was terminated before the start of the World Cup in Qatar, due to the repercussions of a television interview during which he attacked the club's coach, Eric ten Hag, and the team's management.

The Saudi victory is led by French coach Rudi Garcia, and he currently occupies second place in the Saudi League with 19 points, 3 points behind Al-Shabab leaders after 8 stages of the competition.

The club includes former Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo and Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina.
