It was a real derby atmosphere on the ice when bottom teams Malmö and Rögle met in a Skåne derby.

Malmö wanted to break their huge losing streak at home and it was they who took the lead four minutes into the second period.

First, the veteran Carl Söderberg, who has not had a good season, made it 1-0 and just eight seconds later they extended the lead.

It was Rögle defender Vojtech Mozik who was responsible for a real invitation and then Carl Persson was able to make it 2-0.

A few minutes later, Rögle reduced through Adam Engström.

Barely seven minutes into the final period, Söderberg thought he had made it 3-1 briefly into a numerical advantage.

But the goal was video reviewed and disallowed for an intentional hand movement.

Instead, it was the green and white away supporters who had to cheer when Riley Sheen equalized to 2-2 with just over six minutes left to play.

Hero of the match for the guests was the 18-year-old super talent Marco Kasper, who made it 3-2.

Night black for Malmö, who now have ten straight losses on home ice.

Rögle's Michael Kapla went into the sideline after a tackle early in the match and could not play on.

Malmö is still in the qualifying place, while Rögle, who were tipped in advance, are eleventh in the series.
