FIFA has announced that France's Stephanie Frapard will be the referee in the match between Costa Rica and Germany in Group E, which will be held from 4:00 am on the 2nd of next month, Japan time.



It is the first time that a female referee will be the referee at the World Cup.



The two assistant referees for this match will also be two women, Brazil's Neuza Bac and Mexico's Karen Diaz and her girlfriend Medina.



In this tournament, three female referees, including Ms. Frapal and Ms. Yoshimi Yamashita from Japan, have been selected as referee candidates.
