The Selecção, united behind Cristiano

After doubting against Ghana (3-2 victory), Portugal has a great opportunity to qualify for the round of 16.

For Cristiano Ronaldo's last World Cup, the Portuguese dream of offering the most beautiful trophy to their legend.

This will require them to show more offensive rigor.

Against the Black Stars, the Selecção was very close to conceding the draw on a ball from its goalkeeper at the end of the match.

Without a controversial penalty offered to the fivefold Ballon d'Or, history could have been much less lenient with Portugal.

Worn by a golden generation, with João Felix, Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias, etc., Portugal has something to scare the Celeste.

Uruguay must do better

Eliminated by the French team at the last World Cup, the Charruas began their campaign timidly in the Middle East (0-0 against South Korea).

Admittedly, they could have won if, twice, the ball had bounced on the right side after hitting the post (on attempts by Godin and Valverde) but in the end, they found themselves second in their group.

Uruguay must raise their level against Portugal, under penalty of having to play their qualification in the round of 16, against Ghanaians who will not give them any gifts.

With Luis Suarez and Edison Cavani at the forefront of their attack, the Uruguayans have every chance.
