On the final day of the skateboarding Japan Championships, the park final was held on the 27th, and the women's 14-year-old junior high school student Hina Kusaki won the tournament for the second time in a row.

On the 27th, the final day of the Japan Skateboarding Championships held in Murakami City, Niigata Prefecture, the men's and women's finals of "Park", which skied on a mortar-shaped course and competed for skills, were held.

The final is held by 8 people, and they skate for 45 seconds and are graded on the difficulty, composition, speed, etc. of the tricks, and compete with the highest score out of 3 times.

In the women's event, Kusaki, a second-year junior high school student who won last year's Japan Championships, took the top spot by successfully performing the big move "540" in which she jumped and performed one and a half turns on her second attempt.

In the third round, the difficulty was further increased, and in addition to the "540", he also scored the "Kickflip Indie", in which he jumped and rotated the board to grab it in the air.

Second place was Mei Sugawara (15), a third-year junior high school student from Murakami City, and third place was Ryui Sugawara (13), Mei's sister and first-year junior high school student.

At this year's Japan Championships, the top five athletes in each event will be selected as next year's designated athletes, and will be used as a reference for selection competitions for the Paris Olympics and for dispatch to next year's Asian Games.

Kusaki "I'm very happy to win"

Hina Kusaki, who won the women's park, said, "I'm very happy to win. I hoped that I could enjoy skating from practice, and I'm glad that I was able to succeed in all the tricks. I'm going to participate in international competitions in the future. I will be competing, so I want to finish in the top 5 in every competition and qualify for the Paris Olympics."

Mei Sugawara, who came in second, said, "She's been practicing a lot, so I'm happy that she's been able to see the results. I found a problem in this tournament, so I want to keep practicing."

Mei Sugawara's younger sister, Ryui Sugawara, who finished third, said, "I was happy to be on the podium with her older sister. From now on, she will improve the quality of her techniques and devise ways to skate herself. I want to do it," he said.
