Moroccan star Ashraf Hakimi gave his shirt to his mother after the “Atlas Lions” defeated Belgium 2-0 today, Sunday, in the second round match for Group F of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Activists on social media shared a snapshot of Hakimi going to his mother in the stands after the end of the match, giving her his shirt in a warm embrace between them, then kissing her head before returning to the field, to celebrate with his teammates the historic victory over Belgium.

The clip spread widely on Arab platforms, and tweeters praised Hakimi and his righteousness for his mother in his best football moments, sending a special message to her after the important victory of the Atlas Lions, which boosted their hopes of ascending to the final price of the World Cup.
One of the tweeters described Hakimi's snapshot with his mother as "today's snapshot," and another said about it, "picture of the day," while the Egyptian journalist Sharifa Shehadeh wrote to the French star Paris Saint-Germain, "Oh Ashraf, you are blessed with the prayer of the mother. Oh Ashraf, she lived and raised all six beloved ones."
Moroccan coach Walid Regragui replaced Hakimi in the second half of the match to rest him, before Morocco scored the two goals of the match, with a third match remaining for the Atlas Lions against Canada next Thursday, which will be decisive for qualifying for the next round.
