No Therese Johaug, then it was Frida Karlsson and Ebba Andersson who had to assume the title of favorite in today's World Cup premiere in Ruka.

10 kilometers classic was on the menu - and as they lived up to expectations.

Already at the first time control after 1.1 kilometers, Karlsson was at the top, close ahead of Andersson, and so it continued all the way to the 6.1 kilometer pass when Andersson managed to get past.

At 8.1 kilometres, there was only six hundredths of a difference.

The finish was a shocker, but it would appear that Andersson used her energies best because her finish was of the best kind.

She certainly had Karlsson's time to go, but it was still impressive that she managed to beat Frida by 5.7 seconds at the finish line.
