Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo, a penalty scorer against Ghana on Thursday, became the first player to score at five different World Cups.

The Portuguese scored his first goal at this 2022 World Cup in Qatar against Ghana.
Nothing trivial for him since the number 7 of the Portuguese selection becomes at the same time the first player in history to score in five editions of the World Cup (2006, 2010, 2014, 2018 and 2022).
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner had already scored at least once in the four previous World Cups: a goal in the 2006, 2010 and 2014 editions and four in 2018, including a hat-trick in the first match against Spain (3 -3).

Better than Pele
He overtook Pelé, four times scorer with Brazil (1958, 1962, 1966, 1970), Seeler with West Germany (in the same editions as Pelé) and Klose (2002, 2006, 2010, 2014).
Ronaldo, now the author of eight World Cup goals, however, has little chance of joining Klose in total goals: the German scored 16 times in the 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014 editions, the absolute record.
The Portuguese, who on Thursday consolidated his status as top scorer in history in selection football (118 goals in 192 caps), can however join Eusebio in the rank of top scorer for the Seleçao in the World Cup.
Eusebio scored 9 in the only World Cup he participated in, in 1966.
