Four football associations, Norway, Denmark, Germany and Sweden, no longer support Fifa president Gianni Infantino.

Norway, with confederation president Lise Klaveness at the helm, has long been the driving force in criticism of Fifa.

Klaveness now says that she thinks there has been a clear deterioration in recent weeks.

- The last few weeks have been a clear missed chance to show that universal human rights are what Infantino and his team base their leadership on.

They have rather reduced all justified criticism of this championship to a banal Western double standard, she says to NRK.

"Requested a meeting"

Norway has tried to hold talks with Infantino recently but without success.

- We asked for a meeting with Infantino in Doha but he never responded to our invitation.

We are one of four unions that do not support him and we wanted to tell him directly, says

But when a new president is to be elected on March 16, there is no other candidate than Infantino.

Lise Klaveness says that they tried to get a rival candidate from the Norwegian association.

- We in the NFF (Norwegian Football Association) have made many attempts to talk to others who could have been opposing candidates, but who did not want to, says Klaveness to NRK.
