It has been a tough autumn for last year's biathlon queen in both the World Cup and the Olympics in Beijing, where she won three golds.

The reason for the problems is that she contracted shingles during the summer and has missed several months of training.

When the Norwegian biathlon premiere went off last weekend, Röiseland chose to rest, and now the news has come that the World Cup premiere will also come too soon.

The decision to sit out the competitions in Kontiolahti, 29 November to 4 December, has been made in consultation with the coaching and health team.

- This is a test of patience.

I just have to make time and take that piano.

At the moment, my body is not ready for tough competitions, and I therefore have to stay at home, says Marte Olsbu Röiseland in a press release.

Star Tiril Eckhoff is also out of the Norwegian squad for Kontiolahti.

SVT will broadcast the Biathlon World Cup soon on Tuesday, November 29.
