Denmark were heavily trusted before the meeting with Tunisia, but on the pitch it was all the more even.

Tunisia stood up really well and they were clearly the closest to a lead in the first half.

Issam Jebali (formerly in both Värnamo and Elfsborg) had a ball in the net which was ruled out for offside and just before the half-time break he missed a superb position, his lob from close range was very close to going in but Kasper Schmeichel in Denmark's goal managed to get a finger on the ball and guide it to the corners.

In the second half, Denmark continued to lead the game but Tunisia were far from harmless, popping up in one counter attack after another, at least initially.

In the last half hour, Denmark took over more and more and created several good scoring chances.

Among other things, Andreas Cornelius succeeded with the feat of nodding into the post from a meter away.

Denmark never came closer than that and the match ended 0–0.
