To bring home the cup once again, the French football team will have to perform in Qatar for a special edition of the World Cup, played in the middle of autumn.

So, which countries will face France?

And when ?

Europe 1 takes stock of the schedule of the Blues.

It is one of the most anticipated meetings of this year 2022. The World Cup in Qatar, which is being held from November 20 to December 18, will welcome the stars of the round ball.

Among the most watched teams of the World Cup: France.

World champions four years ago in Russia, the Blues will try to replicate the feat of bringing the trophy home again.

But before getting there, the men of Didier Deschamps will have to win all their matches.

For their first match in Qatar, Thursday, November 22, the French will face Australia, in the Al-Janoub stadium.

Four days later, on November 26, the France team will face that of Denmark.

Finally, for the last group match, France will meet Tunisia on November 30th.

The Blues in the final on December 18?

Once these first three meetings have been completed, the schedule of the Blues is much more uncertain since the latter depends on the performance of Kylian Mbappé and his partners.

Thus, if France finishes first in its group, group D, it will face in the round of 16 the second team of group C (which includes Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland) on December 4th.

If the Tricolores finish second in their group, they will then meet the first team at the top of Group C, on Saturday December 3.

If France wins this eighth, it will then go to the quarter-finals.

The match will then take place on Sunday, December 10.

In case of victory, the Blues will play in the semi-finals on December 14, before hoping to fight for the trophy on December 18.

If Didier Deschamps' players lose in the semi-finals, the France team can still claim 3rd place in the competition.

The "little final" will then be played on Saturday December 17, only a few hours before the final of the 2022 World Cup.
