A new hearing is to be held on February 10, while the trial is adjourned and is scheduled to be held on November 27, 2023.
In addition to attempted rape, the 21-year-old is charged with two more counts: assault and having "controlling behavior".
All counts relate to Greenwood's former girlfriend.
Greenwood has been suspended from playing in club team Manchester United since January.
