Sjöstrand, together with the chairman of the Swedish Football Association (SvFF), Karl-Erik Nilsson, participated in the discussions with the International Football Association (FIFA) over the weekend.

On its website, SvFF writes that the European Football Association's (Uefa) working group for human rights and working practices has made progress in two areas: Support for the establishment of a permanent ILO (International Labor Organization) office in Doha and commitments regarding the issue of financial compensation for migrant workers.

- The ILO will remain, they will have an office in place even after the World Cup, but then you have to work out the details.

The work that will take place after the WC will be incredibly important, says Sjöstrand to TT.

- At the same time, we see, it becomes clear when we meet the ILO, that there have been reforms, there are things that have gone in the right direction.

Sjöstrand concludes:

- We started working on these issues in 2015 and in the end it is always the implementation that counts.
