It was two in-form teams that collided in the NHC arena - and just over five minutes in, visiting Skellefteå took the lead when the Timrå defense spun together and Oscar Möller shot the puck into the goal.

And with just over half the game played, Skellefteå was able to increase the score to 2-0 in a five-on-three game after Jonathan Johnsson shot the puck in behind a chanceless Jacob Johansson.

The guests from Västerbotten had bids for more goals, but Johansson in Timråmålet made several fine saves and kept the home team in the match.

Because he did, because in the third period Emil Pettersson was able to reduce and minutes later the home team was a rib hit away from equalizing.

But Timrå didn't get any closer than that.

Three important points for Skellefteå, which takes its fifth straight win in the SHL.

- We have a good final period.

It's a damn strange expulsion the referees take, that he plays on and throws himself afterwards, but I'm not going to complain about the referees, says Timrå's coach Anders "Ante" Karlsson to Cmore.
