After the Olympic gold in giant slalom in February, many doors opened for Sara Hector.

In addition to the sporting success, the attention was also increasing.

Something that resulted in, among other things, a summer talk.

- Overall, large parts of life continue as usual.

Everyday life looks the same.

It is more in the media that attention has increased.

There have been a few more opportunities to activate things around and be involved in collaborations, which are fun parts outside of skiing.

- Like the opportunity to have a summer talk, it wouldn't have happened otherwise.

That's what I find fun to work with, continues Hector.

After the Olympic gold in the giant slalom, Hector was also close to an Olympic medal in the slalom - but ran out in a big lead.

You had barely practiced slalom last year and then you were about to win Olympic gold.

- Yes exactly.

It was just crazy that it went so well at the Olympics.

Giant slalom is also the basis of all skiing, so you have a good foundation from giant slalom.

If you are in really good shape, it can be easier to start skiing well in slalom.

How do you think about slalom this season?

- Giant slalom is priority one, I want to keep it at a high level.

Then I'm also really excited to "get the salom up" but you always have to make priorities, especially when you start to get older and you can't exert your body as much as you like, says Sara Hector.

"Still living the same life"

With an impressive and memorable season behind him, the motivation and desire to develop remain.

- I feel motivated and perhaps more relaxed in some way.

Whether it's good or not, I don't know.

It remains to be seen.

I still live the same life and I enjoy my everyday life very well.

I think skiing is a lot of fun and I love being on the slopes and developing.

On November 19-20, there is a slalom premiere in Levi, Finland.
