“The RPC intends to appeal to the broad international community and organizations, including with an open letter to the UN, the IOC and international non-governmental human rights organizations for persons with disabilities, with a request to call on the IPC to prevent discrimination against Russian athletes with disabilities on a national basis and infringement of their right to participate in international sports competitions and the Paralympic Games through the suspension of all membership rights of the organization in the IPC, ”TASS quotes Rozhkov.
According to him, the organization is considering all options to protect its rights.
Recall that on November 16, the International Paralympic Committee suspended the membership of the RPC.
The organization also suspended the membership of the Paralympic Committee of Belarus.
The decision was made in Berlin at an extraordinary general assembly of the IPC.
It is specified that 64 delegates spoke in favor of this decision, 39 were against, 16 abstained.
Earlier, Rozhkov said that he considered the suspension of membership in the IPC illegal, since the organization did not provide any evidence of violations of the organization's charter.
