Last straight line for the Blues before the Football World Cup.

The French team is preparing diligently to defend their title in Qatar.

They will be entitled to a very tight start to the week, before flying to Doha and starting training for their first match against Australia.

This is the beginning of the great adventure for the French football team.

In less than a week, it will be the start of the World Cup in Qatar, of which Europe 1 will be the official radio.

Final details are still being worked out, such as the last-minute call for Marcus Thuram to complete the squad.

This Monday, the Blues are expected at midday in Clairefontaine, where they will only stay two days before leaving for Doha.

The agenda looks very tight for the France team.

A very tight program for the Blues

It is at a fast pace that the Blues will see the days go by, symbol of this unprecedented World Cup in the middle of the season.

Monday noon, the players will have to gather at the castle of Clairefontaine.

After lunch, they will be treated to light training and dinner in the presence of the Minister of Sports, Amélie Oudéa-Castera.

The latter will bring them a message from the President of the Republic.

Tuesday, time for the traditional family photo, interviews with the press, and a final training in France.

It is Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m., that the Blues will take off from Le Bourget airport to go to Doha, where the reigning world champions will train as soon as they arrive at nightfall.

They will be entitled to a huge privatized hotel for the duration of the competition, located just 20 minutes from their training center.

“There is no finer competition”

Didier Deschamps, he is preparing to experience the third World Cup of his career at the head of the Blues.

An event that is still extraordinary for the coach of the France team, who is stamping with impatience: "The energy, the desire, the determination... there is nothing more beautiful!"

But the coach does not lose sight of the objective of the competition.

"We have a huge challenge, it awaits us, but there is no finer competition."

There will then only be five days left before the entry into the running against Australia, Tuesday November 22 at 8 p.m.

Less than a week, therefore, to refine the automatisms and recover the many players still convalescing, like Raphaël Varane or Karim Benzema.

It is already the end for defender Presnel Kimpembe, "insufficiently recovered" from his Achilles tendon injury and who will be replaced by Axel Disasi.
