Victory and a more than 40-minute stoppage due to ice problems.

It was a memorable debut as the national team captain for Sam Hallam.

But he has only had four days to teach the team his way of playing and thus he was not completely satisfied with the game.

- I think you can see that we have a lot to work on, from me and the entire staff.

We will go through it and improve so the players get a little clearer lines in certain situations, he says and continues:

- We will sit down with video now and try to find some better keys in our game with the puck.

But I really think that our game without the puck today is a road winner.

Hallam took no time to celebrate the premier victory in the Karjala Tournament.

- Now the work starts towards Saturday and we don't have much time.

We are trying to win this tournament and then we can enjoy ourselves.

Defender Olle Alsing accounted for a goal and two assists against the Czech Republic.

He is still on the same track as Hallam.

- It felt good, even if there are things to work on.

Some new tactics and such.

But on the whole absolutely approved.

How nice is it to deliver points directly with the new national team captain?

- It's really nice.

Sam is doing a great job and he really deserves this win.

Now Switzerland and Finland await in Finnish Turku during the weekend and Alsing has high goals.

- We will win the tournament.

This was a good start to the trip, but there are two games left and the job has to be done.

He also sends a pass to teammate André Petersson, who scored a hat-trick against the Czech Republic.

- If we play as we do in the third and André scores three goals every game, we will win the tournament.
