Sweden had no chance against Denmark in Tuesday's group stage meeting in the EC.

At halftime the numbers were brutal 5-13.

Then Tyra Axnér got the chance in the second half.

The 20-year-old, daughter of national team captain Tomas Axnér, showed a great game and dominated at times.

She accounted for nine goals herself in the second half.

Earlier in the championship, Axnér had only played two minutes.

- I didn't think much.

It was very nice that it just started.

I felt that I had nothing to lose, says the nine-meter player to Viaplay.

"Never seen anything like it"

SVT's expert Magnus Grahn is lyrical after seeing Axnér's breakthrough.

- I have followed Swedish national team handball for many years.

I have not seen such a big breakthrough as today.

It's just a matter of raising your hat and saying "welcome to world handball", he says.

- I have never seen anything like it.

That a young player plays so disrespectfully and has the amazing shot and such a psyche that she shows.

It shows that she is selected for the national team not because she is Thomas Axnér's daughter, but because she is Tyra Axnér, the handball player.

Sweden lost the match 23–25, but still won the group.

Norway awaits in the first match of the main round (November 12).
