During last week's summit meeting with Luleå, Brynäs star goalkeeper Klara Peslarova was injured.

The Czech will miss at least the next two matches and more tests are needed before it is known how long the knee injury will keep her out.

The club therefore needs a new goalkeeper and has found her - in defunct Gothenburg HC.

"Great opportunity"

22-year-old Loryn Porter from Canada came to Sweden and the SDHL for this season and says that she herself contacted Brynäs.

- The team is second and is very strong.

I have only heard good things about the club and Brynäs has a good reputation even at home in Canada and in the USA.

This is a great opportunity for me and now I want to help the team win gold, says Porter to the club's website.

"Did it very well"

Porter is ready for this weekend's games.

- She has had time to get to know SDHL and Swedish hockey and has done very well in Gothenburg.

It was a convenient solution for us now that it is uncertain around Klara and when Gothenburg shut down its operations.

We look forward to getting Loryn here and to see what she can do when she now gets the chance in a stronger team, says sports manager Erika Grahm.
