The last time AIK and Djurgården played a derby was in the qualifying series in 2014. Tonight it was time again in front of 13,052 people in attendance.

And the Stockholm derby had to be moved until 19.25 when not all the audience had time to get into the Avicii arena.

The puck didn't even get released before the first flare was lit on the Djurgård section.

6.38 into the first period came the lead goal.

In numerical superiority, red-hot Daniel Muzito-Bagenda unleashed a finish that went out to last year's successful player Maxim Semjonov, who scored 1-0 for his AIK.

The 22-year-old's first goal of the season.

Djurgården slowly but surely took over the match and with 23 seconds left, one of the match's most meritorious players, Marcus Krüger, was able to score 1-1.

Four minutes into the second period it was 2-1 for Djurgården.

Linus Klasen pulled off a shot from blue and the puck went all the way behind Niklas Lundström.

But with 21 seconds remaining this time, Daniel Brodin added, as he scored his seventh goal of the season.

Three straight power play goals for AIK

In the third and final period, AIK reduced after another numerical superiority.

Goal scorer?

Richard Gynge, who is back after a total of four years in Växjö where the 35-year-old last season scored 48 points.

Five minutes later it was time again.

Djurgården was sent off again and Oscar Nord equalized at 3-3 in front of a boiling home crowd.

The visitors looked shaky but Tim Söderlund made sure to give Djurgården the lead when he fired a rebound into the crossbar.

But the home team did not give up, got a turn of the game where Oskar Magnusson got free and was able to nicely equalize with three and a half minutes left.

4-4 stood the period and extra time.

Then the 18-year-old talent Liam Öhgren stepped forward and scored his third goal of the season.
