It was in the first period of the Allsvenskan hockey match between Modo and Vita Hästen that ice hockey history was written.

After just over eight minutes, television puck news Douglas Flygt, 15 years and 195 days (roughly six months), was replaced for the White Horse.

The performance makes him the second youngest outfield player in the hockey Allsvenskan of all time.

The record is held by Fredrik Claesson who, aged 15 years and three months, made his debut for Hammarby in the spring of 2008.

Due to injuries and illness, Vita Hästen had borrowed both division 1 players and the young forward talent from their own ranks.

For Douglas Flygt, who comes from a real ice hockey family, it meant that he had to exchange autumn vacation for A-team games.

"The pace is extreme here"

During the period break, he tells C More that he first took part in two training sessions, then received the message from coach Anders Olsson that he was going to the away match against league leader Modo.

- The pace is extreme here compared to the juniors, but it's just fun to try something new.

An earlier version of this article listed Douglas Flygt as the youngest outfielder ever.

But the truth is that he is second youngest behind Fredrik Claesson.
