Operated last July for a tumor in the testicles, Sébastien Haller is not yet back with the professional group of Borussia Dortmund.

But the Ivorian international trained on Tuesday on an annex ground of Ajax Amsterdam, his previous club and the city where he is currently undergoing his treatment, as revealed by the SkySport site.

Ajax coach Alfred Schreuder expressed his enthusiasm about it on Tuesday: “He asked us if he could come and train because he was being treated here.

It is of course wonderful that he can be there for a while”.

Three more cycles of chemotherapy

The 28-year-old striker, who discovered the existence of his cancer this summer, shortly after his arrival at Borussia Dortmund, appeared publicly last week at the Châtelet theater in Paris.

On the sidelines of the Ballon d'Or ceremony, where he ranked 13th, Sébastien Haller was able to give reassuring news about him: "If I'm here today, it's because everything is fine".

On the UEFA website, the former West Ham striker detailed on October 13 his treatment for his cancer: “I spend five days in a row in the hospital, where I am permanently connected to devices.

Then I have two weeks off.

This is the first cycle of chemotherapy, and I have to do four of them of about three weeks each”.

"A lot of people ask me when I'll be back, but there are a lot of things to take into account," continues Sébastien Haller.

It is therefore difficult to give them a precise answer.
