Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, received today, in his office in Jeddah, the players of the first Saudi national football team and members of the technical and administrative staff who are preparing to compete in the 2022 World Cup competitions scheduled to be held in Qatar next November, in the presence of Abdulaziz bin Turki. Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, and President of the Saudi Football Association, Yasser bin Hassan Al-Mishal.
The Saudi Crown Prince congratulated everyone on the occasion of qualifying for the World Cup, praising the continuous role and effort exerted to ensure qualification, according to the Saudi Press Agency "SPA".
In his speech, the Crown Prince called on the players to enjoy these three matches and to play the group matches without psychological pressure that could affect their normal performance, pointing to the difficulty of the group in the World Cup, and that it is not expected from the team to achieve great results, but the invitations are with them, and everyone is following up first, And God willing, the next is better.
While the Minister of Sports thanked the Crown Prince for the continuous support, noting the players’ performance during the qualifiers, as they were responsible, hoping, God willing, that they would complete this journey in representing the national team in the World Cup, pointing to the players’ keenness to provide the best effort worthy of the Kingdom’s name.
