"In strict accordance with the principles of international and Russian anti-doping standards, and also taking into account the nature and circumstances of the case, Rusada does not intend to announce the date of the hearing, verdict or other details of the case."

Rusada refers to the skater's status as a "protected person".

This status applied to Valieva, as she was under the age of 16 when she submitted a positive doping test.

Since the Valieva case, the International Skating Union has raised the minimum age for ice skaters at the Olympics to 17.
