The captains of Cerezo Osaka and Sanfrecce Hiroshima, who face off against each other, spoke about their aspirations ahead of the final of the J.League Cup, one of the three major soccer titles in Japan, to be held at the National Stadium on the 22nd.

The J.League Cup is one of the three major soccer titles in Japan, along with the league match and the Emperor's Cup. Sanfrecce will play.

On the 21st, both teams practiced for one hour each at the match venue, the National Stadium.

At the press conference, Cerezo captain Hirotsugu Kiyotake said, "Last year we lost on this stage. Seeing the winning team happy in front of me, I never wanted to feel like this again. Because of that loss. I think the team has become stronger, so I definitely want to win and finish with a smile,” he said.

In response to this, Sanfrecce captain Sho Sasaki said, "I'm happy that I still have a chance to win the title despite the frustrating way I lost in the Emperor's Cup on the 16th of this month. I think it will be a difficult match, but I want to stick to the result and fight hard to bring the title back to Hiroshima."

The final is scheduled to take place after 1:00 pm on the 22nd.
