For a while, everything went smoothly for Djurgården.

But in recent times, the Stockholm team has had it increasingly difficult in the Allsvenskan.

After three straight losses in the league game, it looked for a long time that the fourth would also come against Malmö on Thursday evening.

Dream start

Malmö got off to a dream start at home against Djurgården.

Six minutes in, the home team got a throw-in where Malmö son Erdal Rakip was finally able to slot the ball into the goal, to the great delight of the crowd.

A Malmö that at times looked out of sorts in the Allsvenskan fought for each other and Sören Rieks was able to extend the lead to 2-0 after 26 minutes after a nice pass by Anders Christiansen.

The last chance for gold-chasing Djurgården seemed to be rushing past them.

The guests from Stockholm did not have a single dangerous scoring chance during the first 45 minutes of the match.

Another Djurgården in others

At the beginning of the second half, Djurgården reduced it to 2-1 through Elias Andersson, who took advantage of a rebound from Malmö goalkeeper Ismael Diawara.

Just ten minutes later came the next blow for Malmö when Djurgården equalized through recently substituted Kalle Holmberg - who has now scored in three straight games.

The match looked like it was headed for a draw, but in extra time the guests from Stockholm received a penalty and Marcus Danielson stepped forward to complete the guests' turnaround - and sent in 2-3.
