He said: "Since arriving in Chengdu, I have held several meetings with members of the ITTF Executive Committee and ITTF senior management, the theme of which is to discuss the development of the table tennis program. Today is also the second time I have the opportunity to meet the International Table Tennis Federation. Mr. Liu Guoliang, the new First Vice-President of the Table Tennis Federation. I am very excited to have this opportunity and at the same time use this unique moment to explain to him the structure of European table tennis, share ideas and plans for the future, and find common ground that we love The movement developed in Europe."

Liu Guoliang said after the meeting: "The table tennis systems in Europe and Asia are different. Europe is a club system, and Asia is a national team system. Whether it is the ITTF or the WTT World Table Tennis Federation, the development of the project has always been the top priority. Pedro Mora and I mainly talked about this issue in the meeting. There are many good boys in the European men's line now, all of them are on the rise, like the two brothers in France, Dakko, etc., they already have a certain strength , if there are more game platforms and details to polish and further improve the IQ, there is every chance to reach the super-class level.”

Liu Guoliang believes that players in various associations are pyramid-shaped, including China.

The top 3 is one level, the top 5 is another level, and after the 6th place, there are many people who can't play big games.

The Japanese and Korean Table Tennis Associations also face these problems.

During his stay in Chengdu, Liu Guoliang had discussions with Ryu Seungmin, chairman of the Korean Table Tennis Association, and Maehara Masahiro, the vice chairman of the Japanese Table Tennis Association.

He said that in the future, the WTT World Table Tennis Federation will provide more competition opportunities, so that talented young players can enter the professional system earlier, and senior players can also extend their sports careers.

ITTF Foundation Director Leandre Owicz explained the Foundation's work plan and process in great detail to Liu Guoliang and ITTF CEO Steve Denton.

Liu Guoliang said that he was very moved by the ITTF Foundation's concern and attention to disadvantaged groups. In the future, he also hoped that the Parkinson's World Championships could be held in China, so that people who love table tennis from all over the world can find their own arena.

During the Chengdu World Table Tennis Championships team competition, Liu Guoliang and ITTF Executive Vice Chairman and Asian Table Tennis Federation Chairman Karil Al Mohanadi had several rounds of discussions on the development of Asian table tennis and reached an in-depth consensus.

In the future, more athletes will go to international organizations, allowing players to make more contributions to their beloved table tennis career.
