The coach of the France team Didier Deschamps will unveil his list for the Mondial-2022 on Wednesday November 9 in the 8:00 p.m. newspaper of TF1, broadcaster of the event, the French channel announced on Saturday.

As usual in recent years, it is on the set of the partner channel of the Blues that Deschamps will list the names of the players summoned for the major competition in world football.

“As part of the 8:00 p.m. television news presented by Gilles Bouleau, Didier Deschamps will reveal the list of players selected for this event which will take place from November 20 to December 18 in Qatar”, wrote TF1 in a press release.

Between 23 and 26 players selected

The boss of the French world champions can select between 23 and 26 players for the competition, with obligatorily three goalkeepers.

The list must be officially submitted no later than November 14, according to Fifa.

The Blues, defending champions, will meet in their training center in Clairefontaine (Yvelines) from November 14, before flying to Qatar on the 16th.

Their World Cup will start on the 22nd against Australia at 8:00 p.m. Paris time.

In the event of last-minute injury or illness, a player can be replaced by another up to 24 hours before the first match of each selection, according to FIFA regulations.

A few days before his announcement of the list, on October 21 at the latest, Deschamps will have already submitted to Fifa an enlarged pre-list, of up to 55 players, from which he will designate the 23, 24, 25 or 26 elected. .

The contours of the list of the France team will largely depend on the return of the current injured: during the last gathering of the Blues, in September, Deschamps had counted about fifteen more or less long absences, including captain Hugo Lloris, the brothers Lucas and Theo Hernandez, Presnel Kimpembe, N'Golo Kanté, Paul Pogba and Karim Benzema.

After their start against the Australians, the world champions have an appointment against Denmark on November 26 and Tunisia on November 30, at the end of the group stage.
