At the women's volleyball world championship held in the Netherlands and Poland, Japan beat Puerto Rico in straight sets in the third round of the second league on the 7th.

Japan, ranked 7th in the world, took the lead from the first set against Puerto Rico, ranked 17th in the world, and won the set with a score of 25-16 thanks to strong back attacks by INOUE Arisa, who is performing well in this tournament.



In the second set, SHIMAMURA Haruyo, a two-time Olympian, shook up the opponent with spikes that poked the opponent's space, as well as moving attacks to win the match with a score of 25-19.



The 3rd set continued to be competitive until the end of the match, but captain KOGA Sarina, who came on as a substitute, made a sharp spike at a key point and blocked the opponent's spike on match point to end the match at 25-21. Japan won in straight sets with a set count of 3-0.



On the 9th, Japan will face the Netherlands, ranked 10th in the world, in their fourth and final match of the second league, which is their goal of making it to the quarter-finals.
