According to the Chinese Basketball Association, the Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame recommendation activity includes three stages: nomination, nomination and final review.
The nomination stage is from mid-July to late August this year. 100 basketball-related institutions will recommend 30 nominees from the list of 598 nominees.

The selection stage is from late August to late September, and 500 members of the Selection Committee will select 16 candidates from the 30-member nomination list.

The final review stage is from mid-October to late October. The final review committee of the Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame will review the list of 16 people and select 10 people (including 4 male athletes, 3 female athletes and 3 coaches), Together with 15 "special tribute figures" and outstanding collectives ("Fifty New China Basketball Players"), they will enter the Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame in 2022.
