In the final minute, Finn Mikael Granlund was selfless.

With an open goal, he passed sideways to Matt Duchene who made it 4-1.

Filip Forsberg also got an assist on that goal.

In the second period, Nashville put in the push.

Finn Eeli Tolvanen came rushing down the left wing and found the perfect gap in the far right cross for 2-1.

Nino Niederreiter extended the score to 3-1 after a fine collaboration with Dante Fabbro, who masked a pass to the goal.

After just 61 seconds, Nashville took the lead.

Mattias Ekholm shot from the right side and Kiefer Sherwood stayed in front on the return and made it 1-0.

Biggest cheer for the homemason's receipt

1-1 was scored by San Jose's Thomas Hertl in his old home arena from the days when he played for Slavia Prague.

The puck bounced to Hertl, who from close range lifted the puck into the roof of the net.

The roof lifted in the arena and Hertl celebrated with the biggest smile of the evening and got a memory for life.

Then San Jose seemed to be on a roll.

- After our goal, we leveled up and played better and better.

It feels good and I have joined the group with the system that we play according to, said San Jose's Lindblom to Viaplay after the first period when it was 1-1 for his new club.

He came from Philadelphia last summer.

He had a chance to score but missed the chance.

- There was far too much thinking instead of just shooting.

Hope I can get another chance so I can push it there, said Lindblom.

Tomorrow another match will be played at the same place.

The big NHL premiere in North America takes place on the night of Wednesday Swedish time.
