It was late last Sunday evening that the police received information that a woman in her 20s had been raped in an apartment in central Stockholm.
A few hours later the suspect was arrested and at 05.32 on Monday morning he was arrested.
Shortly afterwards, Djurgården IF published a press release on the club's website where they stated that it is a player in their men's soccer team who has been deprived of his liberty.
Since then, several different interrogations have been held and now the prosecutor Frida Vedin has decided to request that the animal farm player be detained on probable grounds on suspicion of rape.
