The Indonesian president orders an inspection of all stadiums after the "Malang tragedy"

Indonesian President Joko Widodo announced Wednesday in Malang that he will order an inspection of all football stadiums in the country and promised to search for the "deep" cause of the stampede that killed 131 people this weekend.

"I want to know the roots of the problem that led to this tragedy so that we can get the best solution," Widodo said.

"I will ask the Minister of Public Works to conduct an audit of all the stadiums used by the Football League," he added.

Widodo was speaking in front of a hospital in Malang, where one of the most serious disasters in football history occurred on Saturday.
