In July this year, the Masters Athletics record meeting was held in Tomioka City, Gunma Prefecture, and the world record was set in the men's long jump (85-89 years old category).

The record was set by 85-year-old Mamoru Saito, who lives in Maebashi City.

Saito was a member of the track and field club when he was a student, but he was 79 years old when he resumed the competition.

Since then, he has been steadily improving his record with his own method of training.

Mr. Saito has devoted himself as a researcher for many years, including working as a professor at a university.

He has awakened his instincts as a researcher to the resumption of track and field, and is facing the issue of how even the elderly can improve their records.

Please take a look at Mr. Saito who challenges the world record.
