In recent years, there has been no doubt as to which was the best team in Manchester, as City had much more success than United.

Not today either.

After the first 45 minutes of the Manchester derby, the blue home team leads 3–0.

Haaland shines

City took the lead after just seven minutes, when Phil Foden, on a strike from the left corner of the goal area, headed Bernardo Silva's pass at the first cross.

Then it was, once again, time for the Erling Braut Haaland show.

Also assisted by Haaland

First, in the 34th minute, he headed in a corner.

And just three minutes later he appeared at the left post and headed in Kevin de Bruyne's pass from the right.

And before the end of the half, City had also made it 4-0, after Haaland assisted Foden with a fine pass.

Both Victor Nilsson Lindelöf and Anthony Elanga started on the bench for United.

However, Lindelöf had to jump in after 40 minutes, when he replaced an injured Raphael Varane.
