He was the first Japanese sumo wrestler to win in 10 years.



Even after he fell from ozeki, he kept the ring hot for a long time, and in November the year before, he retired from active duty after about 19 years in the ring.



He has won 92 places, which is the 7th place in the history of the makuuchi, and has a number of wins, such as 718 wins, which is the 6th place in the history.



Due to the influence of the new coronavirus, his haircut ceremony was held at the Kokugikan in Ryogoku, Tokyo, about two years after his retirement.



Master Hidenoyama faced his 5-year-old eldest son, Hiroto-kun, and his 1-year-old second son, Masahiro-kun, as the final number one.



After the parent and child performed the “Koto Bauer”, a routine that bends the upper body greatly on the ring, the eldest son, Hiroto-kun, beat Hidenoyama master with “push out” and received a big applause.
