After being stopped from participating in the American ATP competitions due to the vaccine refusal, and then having problems with a wrist injury, Novak Djokovic was late last night back in action on the ATP tour.

Then it happened as it usually happened for the top-seeded Serb in his career: Victory.

“Started in a perfect way”

He won 6–0, 6–3 against Spaniard Pablo Andujar in the round of 16 of the Tel Aviv Open.

- The match started in a perfect way for me.

I won seven games in a row and we won the first seven games in 15 minutes, I think, says Djokovic, according to Eurosport.

20 minutes for a game

But then he was forced to toil.

Proper.

The eighth game, when Andujar equalized at 1–1 in the second set, took 20 minutes to play.

In the game there were no less than eight ties and Djokovic missed five break points.

- It was one of the longest games I have played in my life, and I have played many, many games, says Djokovic.

In the quarter-finals, Djokovic will face the Canadian Casek Pospisil.
