The soccer players of FC Bayern Munich made it through to the group stage of the Champions League.

The second in the German championship defeated Real Sociedad San Sebastian 3-1 (3-1) in their own stadium, Bayern had already won the first leg 1-0.

"Especially in the first half we showed fantastic football," said coach Alexander Straus.

The European Championship runners-up Linda Dallmann (18th/23rd) and Lea Schüller (43rd) met in front of 1652 spectators, including Bayern President Herbert Hainer.

"That was the most important game of the season so far because we want to play in the Champions League.

The Champions League is the best, we train for it every day,” said Dallmann.

Synne Jensen (45th) was successful for San Sebastian, who finished second behind FC Barcelona last season.

The draw for the group stage will take place on Monday (1 p.m.) and German champions VfL Wolfsburg will also be in the pot.

Eintracht Frankfurt had failed in qualifying at Ajax Amsterdam.
