16-year-old figure skating prospect Kim Chae-yeon finished third in the short program with her personal best at the Junior Grand Prix.

Kim Chae-yeon has performed flawlessly from her first competition of the season.

She perfected three jump tasks, including a triple lutz-triple toe loop jump, to earn extra points.

Kim Chae-yeon, who also received the highest level of all in the spin, broke her personal best with a score of 67.61 and finished third.

It is 2.55 points behind Japan's Chiba Monet, the leader.
