Very few 22-year-olds are the obvious focus of a documentary film.

But the story of Armand Duplantis is like something taken from a fairy tale.

- I don't feel young for a documentary, but more "finally", says Armand Duplantis.

Did you know you were going to be a world star?

- Yes actually.

You could see it when I was very young: "why not me?"

Chose the bet yourself

The title Born to fly was his slogan even before work on the documentary began five years ago.

It was also before Armand Duplantis had won the EC, WC and Olympics, and broken world records in a row.

The road to becoming the boy with the gold pants has also been a dance on roses strewn with thorns.

The film shows pressure and effort on the way to the top, but the decision to soar the highest ever was actually made by the stave king himself.

Father Greg tried to get him to invest in his studies.

- I went to college for a year, so I listened to him a bit.

But if you look at the film, you get the whole perspective, says Armand Duplantis.
